I’m officially reaching the ‘point of intense stress’ concerning my preparations for this trip; my job ends tomorrow, I’m off for the coast in 13 days, my life is still not even remotely packed up, I need to file my taxes, get more prescriptions filled, ship the touring bikes out west, finish building two bikes, [...]
I’m sticking this one in mechanics, because it’s an inherently mechanical bit of computing design. So apparently my new iBook’s got a motion sensor in it that parks the hard drive’s read head if the laptop gets dropped or jarred.

So yeah - this damned thing is fairly cool so far - I can even post to my blog from the ‘dashboard’.

I just got a f’n iBook. After all of my bellyaching, I had to admit that these things are just too small and tough not to consider one as a small-format replacement to the VAIO bohoemoth that I sold earlier this afternoon.
So here I go… into uncharted macintardation for the second time in my life.
